The Calico Rock Lady Pirates are your 2018-19 Conference and District Tournament Runners-up after defeating the Norfork Lady Panthers 19-0 in a run-rule 3 inning game.  The Lady Longhorns were crowned the Conference and District Champions with a 10-0 District finals score over the Lady Pirates.
After a one day rain delay, the Lady Pirates took the field at Viola’s City Park and blanked the 3rd seed Maynard Lady Tigers 20-0 in a run-ruled 3 inning opening game of the 1A-2 Regional Softball Tournament.
With this win, the Lady Pirates punched their ticket to the 1A State Tournament where they faced the #1 seed from region 3 , the Lady Screamin Eagles of Hillcrest on Saturday in the semi-finals. Due to more rain, the Saturday games were moved to McClain Park in Mtn. Home taking advantage of their artificial turf.  This game was tied at the end of regulation at 7 all and went into extra innings where the Lady Screaming Eagles won by one run in the bottom of the 8th; 8-7.
In order to determine the brackets for the 1A State tournament, Coach Chip McDonald and Asst. Coach Amber Clinkingbeard and the Lady Pirates took on the #2 seed Lady Tigers of Armorel. This time the extra inning had a different outcome as the Lady Pirates held the Lady Tigers in the 8th inning and then go on to score in the bottom of the 8th for a 6-5 victory. This 3rd place win will pit the Calico Rock team, overall record of 9-8, up against the Lady Eagles of Omaha, 2nd seed in Region 1, with a
