Museum makes progress on new experiences

The Calico Rock Museum and Visitor Center has been making progress during this cold season with work being done on the wiki hut for their Birth of the Ozark Experience. Claire and Joe Cresto cut sapling from local trees to hand build the frame for the hut. When finished, guests will be able to enter the hut and emmerse themselves in the history.
The Mountain Man trapper’s tent will be placed between the wiki hut and keelboat giving guests more insight into the Ozark mountains life in the 1800’s.
The front display window will now be wide open, allowing passersby a glimpse into this exhibit, hopefully enticing them inside. During Living Windows the window will be a permanent tribute to the Birth of the Ozarks.
