Late Night Fire Destroys Jordan Grocery

Just after midnight last Tuesday personnel from Rodney Jordan, Norfork, Salesville, and Pineville Fire Departments responded to a call at the Jordan Grocery Store on the corner of Hwy 177 and Jordan Road where there was a large fire in the building.

Personnel were on the scene for nearly 3 1/2 hours. The store was a total loss, the fire also burned a power line, resulting in several North Arkansas Electric Cooperative members being without power. Luckily no one was hurt and power has since been restored.

Rodney Jordan Fire Chief John Forman has met with fire investigators as they work to determine the cause.
