Food Bank of NCA to hold distribution in Calico Rock

The Food Bank of North Central Arkansas has scheduled a mass distribution of fresh produce, dairy and protein Thursday morning from 9 until noon in Calico Rock. The distribution will be held at First Baptist Church on Arkansas Highway 56 and is free to local residents in need.

The distribution is made possible through the Walmart Retail Donation program and a donation from the Mountain Home Lion’s Club and is intended to assist local families in need related to the COVID-19 crisis. Food Bank CEO Jeff Quick says, “We’re blessed with incredible partners like Walmart and our Lion’s Club and appreciate their willingness to help us help our community in this way.”

The food will be available on a first-come, first-served basis and is part of the fifth semi-load of produce brought into the region by the Food Bank of North Central Arkansas in the past three months in response to the COVID-19 crisis.
