It’s almost here! The 63th annual Calico Rock Lions Club Rodeo is coming to town this weekend; Friday, June 11 and Saturday, June 12.
The event, sponsored by the Lions and conducted by Rand Rodeo Company, will be held in the Tip Wiseman Rodeo Arena in Earl King Park located off Hwy 56 in Calico Rock. Each evening gates will open at 6:00, with Muttin Bustin starting at 7:30p.m. and the rodeo action starting at 8:00p.m.. This year will feature Pro Rodeo Clown Ron “ICE MAN” Hunter along with the Chicks-N-Spurs Drill Team. Admission is $8.00 for adults, $4.00 for children 6-12, under 6 admitted free.
Everyone is also invited to come out and enjoy the rodeo parade to begin this year at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday the 12th featuring floats, ATV’s, Antique Cars and Trucks. Those participating may begin lining up at 2:00 in the high school parking area. The theme for this year is “Our Town, America”. The route will begin at the rodeo arena, down state Hwy 56, and conclude by passing through the downtown Historic District on Main Street.
Come out with the entire family next weekend and help the Lions raise money to fund their many charitable community projects!
