Pirates and Panthers Dominate at State Bowling Championship

The Norfork Panthers and Calico Rock Lady Pirates delivered the Twin Lakes Area a pair of state bowling championships on Friday at Rogers.

Just three years into the bowling program at Calico Rock High School, the Lady Pirates make school history by bringing home the 1A-2A 2024 State Championship trophy and banner. Congratulations to Senior Lailee Barker who earned All-State honors. Calico Rock took home the girls’ title with 3,060 pins, 12 pins ahead of Concord.

During the Conference Bowling match in Fayetteville on January 30, Lailee Barker and Kyle French earned All-Conference distinctions.

Norfork’s boys successfully defended their title from last year and captured their eighth state championship overall. The Panthers finished 3599 pins, 163 ahead of Conway Christian.
