Sunday storm brings hail; More wild weather expected this week

Storm activity swept through the area Sunday resulting in several rounds of heavy hail falling. Reports varied on the level of damage although it seems to be isolated to areas heaviest hit.
There were multiple reports of baseball-size hail in Fulton County. There were other reports of golf ball-size hail in Izard, Baxter and Marion counties. A resident on County Road 342 at Norfork Lake submitted a video of hail stones falling through the rain spout onto the residence’s porch at a rate so heavy it appeared as bank of snow.
Beginning Wednesday, we are in for a marathon of active weather days with ingredients in place for strong winds, large hail, heavy rain, and tornadoes. According to multiple meteorologists the tornado threat will be higher on Wednesday than Thursday, but gusty wind, large hail, and tornadoes are all possible both days in the afternoon and evening hours.
