Improvements made to Calico Rock’s website
Calico Rock is thrilled to announce the creation of a new and improved website www.ExploreCalico.com! This website centralizes the community services to connect with local businesses, the museum, the city of Calico Rock, Main Street, and our community events in one place.
A user friendly interactive map lets visitors explore our historic sites, recreation opportunities, dining, lodging, shopping, and healthcare. A new community calendar shows up-to-date event information for the school, museum, Main Street, and local organizations. The new website provides the city’s website as well as features every local business licensed by the City of Calico Rock with quick links to that business’ website or Facebook page. Mobile users can quickly find a local business and connect with them.

The new and improved ExploreCalico.com was created by Lauren Argo of Industrial Art & Design, a local solutions provider located on Main Street Calico Rock. Lauren worked with our team to create innovative solutions for our community.
The website will continue to improve the ways we connect with the community. A virtual tour will provide a taste of the museum exhibits and there will be a way for users to reserve their spot in future classes, seminars, and programs at the museum. Plans are in development to add an online store for Calico Rock merchandise and the team is exploring ways to allow users to access other services online.
The website was made possible through a partnership with the Arkansas Department of Parks, Heritage and Tourism; Ozark Gateway Tourism Council; Main Street Calico Rock; Main Street Arkansas; the Calico Rock Museum & Visitor Center; and the City of Calico Rock, Arkansas.
